Traction Control Button Wiring?????
Trying to replace a broken plug that plugs into the traction control button. The original plug seems to have 2 orange wires, 2 brown wires and 1 black wire.....the new plug has 1 orange wire, 2 brown wires, 1 black wire, 1 tan wire and 1 pink wire.... What is the deal? Does anyone have an explanation or diagram?
Thanks, Steve

Now who has the same info for a '99 vette (FRC 6M if it makes a difference).
Thanks in advance, Steve

I think I read a thread that mentioned an Active Handling(competition option)...early C5 didn't have? Is it possible that my C5 traction button wiring may be different b/c my vette may not have that option? This is a long shot....anyone with a '97 service manual that can check the plug wiring (color/order/description)?
Thanks

Pins 5 & 6 are the two that control the on/off function of Traction Control ONLY.
Pins 9 & 10 are shared by the A/H (if present) AND T/C for the purpose of power (and dimming) to the light bulb(s).
That connector is shared by both A/H (if present) and T/C. The connector number part number listed is 12040953. Don't know if it's serviced separately. Probably not.
How many switches are there on the console trim plate on your car? One or two?

From the 99 Service Manual. The switch is the same for non AH and AH cars.

My 97 doesn't have a connector like that when I pull the switch cover, it might go to the parking brake though. The tc switch conecctor however is the same as the 99 manual pic shown above, except that the 10 wire on mine is brown.
