Default DOT 3 and 4 mixable?

want to clean my clutch fluid with dot 4, can I do it? Car should have DOT 3 in it now. using rangers method

Yes DOT 3 and DOT 4 are mixable.

This is what I have used for the past 3 years

I was thinking about dot 5 when I asked the question, was worried about the silicon base... I think
