Rear suspension creaking (again)
I had an alignment peformed on my car a few weeks ago and since then, my suspension has been very noisey (creaking, squeaking, and popping).
I thought the rear sway bar was to blame for all of the creaking in the back so I removed it completely and the majority of the noise is gone from the rear. However, the temperatures have also jumped up about 20 degrees here (supposed to set a record high today of 80) which would curb some of these noises anyway...so its hard to tell if it was the removal of the swaybar or the warmer temperatures that erradicated most of the noises.
I'm wondering though, since some of the creaking is still present, could it be my springs? I have replacement springs and sway bars arriving today with the metal endlinks.
What lubrication should I use on all of the bushings? The silicon stuff sucks. Also, can I get replacement bushings for the A-arms? I think this could be the source of some of my annoying sounds.
(The front I think has a loose tie rod end that I'll address soon)
Thanks for any help!!!
