Most no-start cases where things are flashing is usually a case of a low battery. I would suggest putting a charger on it although if you know how to use a VOM(Volt Ohm Meter), measure the battery and see if you have a static 12.5vdc or above on it. If its below, then the battery needs attention. Check for tight and clean connections to the battery itself. Is the security light flashing?

Clean the chip in the key or try a spare key. Its possible that the ignition cylinder where the chip contacts are, is worn out or dirty too. Pull the codes.

The car's computers store a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) when they see a problem. On the Corvette you can get all the computers in the car to report any/all DTC data stored in them on the DIC.
Go here for instructions on how to "pull the codes" ....
https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=26&TopicID=1
Easiest to write them down when the display goes to MANUAL mode.
Be sure to list the ENTIRE DTC .... it will look like P1234C or B9999H .... list the entire code and someone can look up the code in the Service Manual and give you the diagnostic/fix information.

For others here, I spoke to him on the phone this morning. Apparently when he wiggles the key, the security light starts flashing and systems are being affected. I suggested to him that he clean the pellets on the keys with an eraser and try again. If the problem is still present, then its time for a new lock cylinder as the pellet contacts inside the cylinder are worn out.
If anyone else has a better idea or thoughts, please let him know.

dgrant3830,
Sounds like you have it nailed. Point out to him that one of the main reasons the ignition lock wears out is because some people insist on having a 28 pound key chain that has every key they've ever owned on it (including three keys to a house they sold 14 years ago). Best to carry a single ignition key with the fob on it, and put the "key chain" in the console .... the weight of all those keys and bling wears the lock out because of bumps, corners, etc.
