AC blows from defrost, front and floor
I think there is a vacuum leak but I don't have the time or patients to fix this. Does anyone have any idea how many hours the dealer will charge to fix this?

Vacuum Leak
Normally those kinds of leaks are either a hose breaking off from the connection at the back of the manifold, or a line being eaten up by battery acid under the battery box.
If it is a back of the manifold situation it is tough to get to, but some have done it without taking the manifold off and fixed it in a very short time. If it is the battery acid situation you have a larger problem, and will need to not only fix the vacuum line, but clean up the whole area and fix any other lines, wires or computer parts that have been damaged.
Good Luck.

Hi, sorry I can't really help you on what the dealer will charge to fix your problem, it depends on how much diagnosis they have to do to determine if that is the problem and where the leak is. Could be an hour, or many hours.

It's proabbly the vaccum lines to the canister. Cost will be pretty high because intake manifold will need to be removed to access line on back of manifold.

Optima doesn't leak
Hi, no the optima won't leak, but what was in the car before the optima may have leaked and done some damage that is showing up now. It is not hard to see if you look down under the battery box with a flashlight. If not the under battery area, it is probably the back of the manifold situation. If you are a bit handy and can spare a little time you can probably fix it your self. If you need the dealer to do it, they will probably charge you to remove the manifold and repair it. Many hours.

I kinda have the same problem and I also have a hissing sound coming behind the main instrument cluster, and the air I'm getting is warm and it's all the time, are these possibly related? If so, is the GM extended warranty likely to cover?
