Default GM LS2 vs. LS7 plug wires:: Are they the same???

ls2 vs. 7 wires, same thing??

fwiw, the base wires are fine on the C5, if they are old I was replacing them w/ GMPP red wires for about 50/60$$

I think the LS2/7 wires may be better, basically the same as the gmpp unit, but you can pull the wires easier for plug changes

The only small thing I don't like is that the "wings" on the "handle" (molded grip part) on the plug boot are really close to my headers on a couple of cylinders. Of course that's not so much the wire's fault as mine, since I have 1 7/8" headers. I've been keeping a close eye for and darkening, burning, etc and so far, so good. I have about 2000 miles on these wires so far.
