Default Torque Tube Noise...?

So I have a Zoom D2 twin disc clutch, a new left DTE output shaft and a slave cylinder installed recently and I noticed that when I start the car or everytime Im at a light in neutral, I hear a rattle from underneath the car. The noise stops when I depress the clutch and I dont hear it while driving in gear.

Please help.

Put it on jacks, get someone to run the drivetrain, get under there and locate the general area of the noise you are hearing.

Another thing I noticed when in any gear but mostly 1st and accelerating from a low rpm or from a dead stop, the drivetrain makes this weird noise like what you would hear if you were to take of in 3rd or 4th gear from a stop and it only makes that noise for a few hundred revs between 1k and 2krpm.

I'm with you on this one as well.

When changing gears up or down, do you sometimes get a clunking type sound from the drivetrain ?

I do...

There's a long known rattle from the transmission which is covered in the factory supplied video with the car. A rattle as you pull away in first gear is normal.

Could be the disks rattling around while in neutral. Twin disks are more noisy than singles.

I have a textralia twin, RPM level 5 tranny and DTE stage 5 rear.

The clutch rattles when the clutch pedal is depressed and the tranny rattles when the tranny is in neutral and the clutch is engaged.

Sounds like a bunch of marbles in a tin can. But that is normal.

NORMAL! Go to a Chevrolet dealer and test drive any C5 with a 6 speed and you will find out they all do the same thing and all make the same noise! Talk to their Corvette mechanic and they will tell you the same thing, NORMAL!

You want to hear something really bad?...... Start the car, put the car in neutral, let go of the clutch and let it idle in neutral, now shut off the car...... Damn you would swear something just blew up under your car!

I know about the rattle when shutting off in neutral. I just hold my clutch in and its shuts off quietly. So I had the car on a lift and notices the noise is coming from the bell housing looking thing that the driveshaft goes into thats connected to the motor. But yeah, it sounds like rocks in a tin can.

All noises are amplified by the torque tube, which makes them sound worse then they really are.

Yep this is what you get when you spend $50,000 to buy a new car from GM.
