Default K&N oil filters any good???

Looking around for some good oil filters today, but couldn't find any mobil one or the ACDelco Gold series and saw this K&N filter..It was priced around 9 dollars just like the preminum oil filers mentioned above, but has anybody tried them out or have any things to say about them..

I have always used them on my C2, C4, & C5. I like the construction and have had no trouble.

I would go with the AC Delco Ultraguard Gold Oil Filter - UPF44 from Fitchner. Call Bob at (406) 628-4618 and get a case of 6.

Y2K253SS,

I would rcommend to do what fellow brother George Cooper already mentioned. I absolutely join his opinion. As mentioned to you in my former reply to your other post re M1-Oil Filter, you could try to have this one by The LAPD, but of course, the best solution IS: AC DELCO UPF44 UltraGuard Gold.

Joe.

UPFs, K&N, and Mobil 1s are all great filters. Pick one and don't worry about it!

One interesting feature of the K&N is the anti-drain back valve. This is supposed to keep oil from flowing out of the filter after the engine is turned off, so the oil pressure comes up faster during a start.

I am using the K&N. Like all the K&N products, great quality. But you can imagine that it is hard to tell any difference.
