Default Has anyone tried the new ZR-1 twin disc clutch?

I was wondering if anyone has tried the new ZR-1 twin disc clutch on a high hp C-5 yet and what their results might be?

Thanks,

It doesn't fit. There are some other very good dual disk clutches out there that do fit and work well. I run a RAM dual and it's a great clutch. Spec also has an dual that is getting great reviews.

Isn't it a flywheel issue? I figured someone would come out with a flywheel that would allow its use, but Fidanza has their own line of clutches so they would competing against themselves on that one.

How is the RAM working out for you? Does it chatter?

I have a SPEC single disk Stage 2/3 ahd I hate it. It chatters horribly.

I read on here that the crank is different or the bolt pattern is. But, same as already posted, not an option really.

The Ram twin discs have definitely been my favorite of the twin disc's I've used.

there are only a few shops I'd be guessing that have pulled the clutch on the new ZR

on 2nd thought, I'd speculate none have yet

the one(s) that have don't/won't often post here

I could not agree more. I have one of the first rams put out, and it has been running strong for over 2 years now in my Z06. It takes the abuse and keeps going. My only plans are to remove the steel pedestals for composite ones when it comes out to silence the floater.

oh all these clutches we use. Im excited to see how the Tex will hold up drag racing this year. There is alot of clutches that will hold big power, but not at the strip launching at 6500 RPM with no slipping.

the Tex will get the ultimate work out this year
