Default What is C1232 & 1233 ?

I recently had a lot of work done to my car.....story later....

The only codes that the DTC is showing is:

TSC C1232 H C and C1233 H C

I understand these codes refer to the "Speed Circuit" being shorted or absent on the Left and Right Rear Wheels.

How do I fix this ?

Thanks in advance to my brothers on the C5 Forum.........

C1232 LF Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted
C1233 RF Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted

Well, sounds like the wires from the wheel speed sensors are shorted to the frame. If you had the bearings out, then the wires may have been routed incorrectly resulting in them shorting out.

Having a lot of work done doesn't mean much. Depending on what you had done the work may have caused the problem. For example, you could have a problem with the harness that runs across the front of the engine compartment. The wires from the wheel speed sensors in the wheel bearings could be shorted due to improper installation.

Knowing what work was done will help!

But for now you can check the connections to see if they were pinched somewhere - follow them back fron the connections at the wheel.

Inspect the connections and clean where necessary or you could even unconnect and spray some electrical connection cleaner!

Let us know your findings and the work you had done as this will help us to

Worse case you have a bad sensor that need to be replaced

Thanks,Matt

Thanks. heres what I have had done.

Lets see.......
- Rear quarters, widened quarter panels, with minitubs
- rear end replaced
- Brakes changed out for vented discs
- Brake calipers powdercoated
- Hotchkiss sway bars
- Transmission changed from Auto to MN6 - includes torque tube
- Magnesium Cat Back Exhaust
- Stroked, Bored LS6 408 replacing LS1 350.

The only codes that have not cleared are the codes mentioned above.

Yeah, thats a lot of work. You are going to have to get under there and start following wires/bundles. Somewhere, there is a problem.

Thanks......

It sounds like I have to trace wiring from the front wheel sensors back to the PCM.

Should I buy a Shop Manual or other manual that would show me a wiring diagram?

Thanks.......
