Is underhood light on a fuse?
I tried changing my underhood light to a LED. I pulled the original one out and attempted to put new one in. While installing it flashed a few times when connections rubbed and quit. I put in original one back in and it doesn't work either. Did I blow a fuse? Looked in owners manual but found nothing. help please. Tom

Here is the Monitored Load Relay schematic.
Underhood Lamp
Battery positive voltage is applied at all times to the MONITORED LD relay 37 coil and switch side. The BCM applies a ground to the MONITORED LD relay 37 coil side, energizes the relay and closes the switch contacts. The BCM then allows battery positive voltage to the MONITORED LD fuse 2 and the underhood lamp. When the underhood is opened, its switch closes providing a ground circuit, and the underhood lamp illuminates.

I'm a toolmaker and I read blueprints but this electrical stuff is very confusing. Are you saying that the #2 minifuse under the dash is blown. 10 amp I believe?

That fuse could be blown but you would also be missing your I/P lights and vanity mirror lights. If those are still working the fuse isn't blown.

I did the same thing. The LED doesn't go completely out after the retained power shuts off so it glowed all the time the hood was open. I went back to stock bulb and blew the #2 fuse as mentioned above. It's in the passenger footwell BTW.
