No cons I'm aware of,,other than cost! Pros,,(if electric operated) The sound you want, when you want it!! You can run a fairly quiet set(even stock) then when you want ,,OPEN HER UP and let it rip! Some seem to be a little more reliable such as DMH and Race Ready,,and cost a bit more. I'm sure others will chime in soon!!

DMH's for me just last week.

The H-Pipe still makes them rattle a bit, but I like what I have. I open them just a bit (probably 10%) for a good crisp and warm sound. All the way open and they are flat out NASTY.

The best part: when it is time to be quiet, talk on the phone, cruise with the stereo on the Interstate.....close those bad-boys shut.

No cons!! I love my Race Ready Performance cutouts. Very well made and a lifetime warranty. I had an issue with the dash switch when I bought them, their service is top notch.

I hear DMH’s are good and have an oval opening for better clearance.

I was planning on installing QTP cutouts. QTP is a supporting member on the forum. I did not purchase from them simply due to the unprofessional response I received when I questioned why they only offer a 90 warranty.

Well so far I see no cons.... I was planning on swaping my Ti's for Corsa's for a better sounding exhaust. Looks like cut-outs might possibly be the answer or good alternative.

I didn't mention QTP since I had seen posts on problems with some of them,,sticking valves and motor burn out. No personal experience,,just passing along what I've read here!!Corsa Touring would still be a nice addition ,even with cut outs!!

I was looking at the Corsa Pace cars or Indies without the cut outs. To have to buy both would be a little expensive right now.

Question in post#4. Are PATCHES cutouts welded in after the x-pipe but before it reaches the titanium pipes? This way, welding titanium isn't necessary?

A member here actually did clamp a set of QTP's into his Ti's.

The only negative is that it's one more thing to break. I have one out right now to be rebuilt or replaced so the car is pretty loud. Not real cool when sitting at the light next to a cop.

I'm getting ready to buy the DMH cutouts. Do they have a few different settings as far as how open they go? Or is it just the two choices of open or closed?
