Default Radio Problem

When I purchased my 2004 C5, It had an aftermarket radio installed. I didn't like the aftermarket radio so I bought one (stock)from a nice gentleman on this forum. It was from a 2001. I think it should work in my 2004, but when I installed it, it powers up, but no music. The radio does not seem ot be in LOC or INOP mode. Does the radio display either of these modes? It just looks normal and does not show any problems.
Thanks

If it looks like normal operations...am/fm and so on...then its probably the speaker connections from it to your car are different in some way. You would need to get a schematic or find out what year of car it came from in order to identify the correct wiring, if this is the cause.
Edit: I totally forgot, the amp is located in the passenger footwell. An after-market radio, the previous owner may have clipped the wires or removed the amp...pull the passenger floor board and have a look.

Thanks for the interest. I only hope I can help someone with their problem. I think I found the answer. Not only was the radio changed, but so were the speakers. Fostgate punch speakers were also installed in the door. they are 4 ohm speakers and the Bose radio will not drive them. I guess I will be searching for a new aftermarket radio and call it a day. Any Suggestions on a radio????
