You need to be thinking about wheel fitment issues as well. Unless you really want calipers that say Corvette, you should also be looking at some of the other options such as Brembo, Wilwood, etc.

You should call a couple of supporting vendors such as LG, that can tell you what the options are and which wheels fit. From a performance POV, you can do better than the ZO6 option for similar money. But the ZO6 calipers look pretty sweet!

You don't need SS lines, but they are nice and will improve pedal feel. OEM ZO6 lines should work just fine for street application.

exactly. the other guy was saying that you could get a better caliper for the same money... and i dont think so.

you dont need lines, they just improve the feel. if you're in there already, might as well throw them on. otherwise, you're good to go. just bolt the stuff on and go. justr like you're doing a routine brake service.

I had to angle my rear hoses up on a 30 degree angle at the caliper. Otherwise, no problems exept wheel fitment. What kind of wheels did u pick? R U sure they fit?

I have a question, why do people install this system at over $2k?
1. It looks cool?
2. You auto x and need the extra breaking power?
3. Because you can?
4. You drag race?

I think it is a waste of money.

When I did this conversion in April of this year, I ordered up a set of braided brake lines from Randy at Doug Rippie Motorsports. They are made by Goodridge but don't have the block type fittings, instead, they just screw into the caliper. Aside from the brake lines the only things I needed were some brake fluid and thread locker.

BTW, this conversion can be done, front and rear, for approx $1100-1300 if you buy the calipers/pads/rotors used and there is a noticeable performance difference, at least on the street!

Give me a shout if you have any questions!

Good luck with the swap and post up some pics!

Yeah, your right. You're definitely into more money for a different system. The C6 ZO6 is good value. If you have wheels that fit, and the money is an issue, the C6 is a decent choice. You DO NOT need SS lines, but I would do them any way.

I'd personally pony up for a higher hend 6 pot system that uses a large single pad like Brembo or Stoptech. But definitely more money as I was corrected below.

The calipers themselves are as good as anyone else's 6 piston setup. Prove where it isn't. As for the padlets, there are single pad options out there for this exact setup that are way superior to the padlets. Therefore, if you have equal calipers and single pads how are you going to top it? We a are now into the tires and suspension setup because the brakes are doing all they can. Plus with the C6Z setup, you get all four corners compared to just the fronts on other systems for still less money.
