turn signal flasher unit
I have a 2000 FRC with about 58000 mles on it. It is a daily driver. Sometimes i when i activate the turn signal lever they will work and some times they won't. If i press the hazard light switch they work and then the turn signals work for a while.
Does anyone think that is something other than the flasher unit? If so what else could it be.
I'm going to replace the flasher unit this weekend just wondering if i should check anything else while i have the console and radio bezle out
thanks

well we tried a little fix on my car today, and it may have worked.
Dave, weigh in.
Dave removed the cover to the hazard switch, Drilled a hole the diameter of the little red tube that comes with electrical connection cleaner into the hazard switch. Then sprayed cleaner on the contacts. He cycled the switched 30-50 plus times to rub the contact points, and my flashers worked.
worked the 2 dozen or so times i used the binkers on the way home.
I cycled the flasher switch maybe another 30 times on the way home.
I use my car a couple times a month, so im not sure if it's a true fix, but so far so good.
Thanks dave
Dave will jump on later with pictures and a better explaination.
