Default Will these 440ci LS-7s fit under stock hood?

Just weighing SC options versus a big block. Will these LS-7 based 440ci monsters fit under a stock hood?

If so, will they with a centrificual (however it's spelled) SC off to the side?

Thanks!

The monster sizes of the intervals fits into a block with the same exterior size as an ls1.

The LS family of engines do not fall into the "big block" category, i.e. 396/454, etc of description. If, by "big block" you "big cubes" (440ci), as in an LS7 that has been bored or stroked to 440ci, then yes they will fit nicely. No differently than an LS1/2/6, etc. Just remember though that a true LS7 is a dry sump engine that needs an oil supply tank and some additional plumbing as well as a battery re-location. The front of the engine is essentially the same as all the other LS engines and a centrifugal SC will fit it just like all the other LS engines.

Thanks guys, yea, my term "big block" was misleading---I just meant big cube.

Nice to know I can get a big cube LS-7 (or other bored/stroked LS engine) and drop it in, then add a centrifigal supercharger later if I still need more power, all under the stock hood.

Yep. Just another one of the many reasons the LSx's are so popular.

Now get that bad boy in there and let us see it.

Just a suggestion, don't overlook the LS3. Many of the top builders are turning out some impressive big horsepower engines and they require a lot less effort to install in a C5.
