How to : Reset " Service vehicle soon" message
Had the battery disconnected while the car was in the paint shop. Battery disconnected, back and forth, 4-5 times. The radio pre-sets all came back to the right stations.
BUT, I'm getting the " service vehicle soon" and " service handling system", active handling light is on.
The tire pressure monitors were all showing "low pressure" too, but were overridden by the above 2 messages.
Is ther a reset procedure to go through after the battery has been disconnected?
Never had this problem before?
TIA

Hi...This is a 99. I'm pretty familiar with going through the DIC. Clearing codes for the key fobs, TPM etc. But I don't think this is accessable threough the DIC, or is it?
Can you give me more info to clear this up?
TIA

I'm guessing you don't know how to check the codes themselves? Push and hold the Options button and then push the Fuel button 4 or 5 times within like 5 seconds. You will get the auto sequence of the code display. You can use the other keys to manually go through it, selecting a particular code and "reset" it with the reset button.

service vehicle soon
I had a service vehicle soon light right after I replaced my balancer.
I saw a members post of the same problem and he said he lowered the steering wheel to its lowest position, and turned the steering lock to lock.
I tried it and it worked.......
