I assume it would work...but as far as spring rate goes, it was designed to hold up a 7.0L motor as opposed to a 5.7L. Should be stiffer in theory. Interested to know if anyone has tried.

Just because the displacement is larger, does not mean the engine weighs more.......

What are those weights based on?
The LS1 is almost the same motor as an LS6.
Could that be the difference between a clutch/fw/pp combo and a flexplate? Still seems heavy unless one has the harness and ECU piled on top of it too.

Those weights aren't right at all. The LS6 weighs 50 pounds more than an LS1 and an iron block 5.3 weighs less than the LS6 and only 20 pounds more than an LS1? I'm not sure how they obtained those weights, but something isn't right.

Ok, since you guys deal in crate motors every day, what are the correct weights?

I agree. I'm sure that they weighed them with different options though. Maybe some are/aren't wearing wearing exhaust manifolds, and/or flexplate/clutch assembly? Plus computer, wiring harness.

They should all be pretty much the same weight.

The LS7 might be a little lighter with titanium rods but then you have to add in the dry sump oiling system which I'm sure adds a pretty considerable amount of weight (nevermind the oil itself).

The C6 ZO6 Springs front and rear yes fit on any C5, I just add the 2013 ZO6 Springs and Sway bar to my C5 2003, the improvement is amazing but the car is going to look high, here are the picture of my C5 with the ZO6 suspension.
