HVAC Drivers side Actuator
Hi all, I'm looking for a the Drivers side HVAC Actuator part # 16163982 or 98018365. My drive gear in the actuator is cracked and will need to be replaced. Prices that I've found so far are $170.00.
Anybody fine a better price?
Thanks

Interior tear down
The procedure would be the same as the HUD installation. I do have Pics however I cannot do untill this evening. The Actuator is located on the air box which is located in the center of the dash. The Drivers side Actuator is mounted on the air box on the side. The rear screw is a PITA to get to and remove. Just take your time.
On my actuator, the drive gear is cracked and will have to be replaced.
Dorman has a factory replacement for about $100.00.
Considering the amount of work to get to the actuator, I'd looking for the upgraded version part # 89018365. It has a wider range of operations.

Air vent actuator
Can do....To make a long story short. I removed the entire Center console , the radio and ac control ( didn't have to remove it after all), the dash pad and the Instrument cluster. The Cluster is a must. I remove the black air ducts and the baffle. I've done this before when I installed the chrome rings around the instruments in the cluster. I'll planned do this kind of work when enough issues are cause me to park the beast for a while. I'm going to do the Rock'n seat fix and a Colum lock bypass modifications while i'm working on it.

Seat Fix
I would very much like to see your write up on the seats. What Nylon washers did you use, do you have a part number and from where did you gets your parts from and do you have any pics? This would help me a great deal.
BTW, the Dash pad was easy to remove and install. Streight forward and take your time. I will not rush the job, I'll sit back and study what has to be done and read all that I can. Your Nylon washers would be a big help.
Thanks

actuator
One of our Club members has one and I did pay a discount price.
Got it in and all's well in the world. Again, removing the Dash pad was a big plus for me, it allowed me to see the Forward screw which was a pain ever with the pad out.
