Flywheel with McLeod Twin Disc question
Well I am tossing a McLeod RST in my car after toasting the stock clutch. I have been wanting to lighten up the clutch and I know the McLeod twin discs don't really lighten anything up over stock... especially when reusing stock flywheel. So I found a deal on a stock replacement LS1 McLeod lightweight aluminum flywheel.... 13.5lbs. I am imagining it will work fine being a stock replacement and the RST reuses stock flywheel right? Just a question of how I can check for sure during install or before install if this will all work perfect together? Thanks!

Yes, the Mcleod p/n 560530 aluminum flywheel works well with the RST/RXT clutch kits.
The RST/aluminum flywheel combo will weigh about 36 lbs total, a nice weight savings over the stock setup.

awesome good to hear! Seller couldn't locate the part number however, how can I check to make sure it will work... just if it bolts up? I'm a M6 newb Also, RST vs stock, clutch only.... is there a weight savings at all?

I'd definitely do what you are considering though. 36# and a 9.6" dia clutch is plenty reasonable for street use.

Probably a few lbs lighter, but even if it weighed the same, the RST is also a bit smaller in dia than the stock clutch, that will also make a positive difference in terms of how quick it revs up and falls off.
