Time to register for the cruise-in!
The Corvetteforum cruise-in takes place over Memorial Day weekend, May 23rd to 25th 2002, at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky. You will probably have more fun at this event than any other large Corvette event you have been to. :)
Ask anyone who has been there. In fact, if you've been there, feel free to chime in on this thread!
The event is in support of the non-profit National Corvette Museum. There are many events during the weekend including:
autocrossing
drag racing
tech seminars
dyno
Road tour to Maker's Mark Distillery
Kentucky BBQ Night at Wendell Stroud's 1869 homestead
go cart racing
Corvette Assembly Plant Tours
Remote Control Car Racing (RC) at the NCM
People's Choice Car Show
A Visit with Sonny Kilgo
Corvette C4 Tech Session presented by Gordon Killebrew
Cruise-In Banquet & Auction in the museum in the midst of classic Corvettes!
Roscoe's BBQ and free for all party
Burnouts galore
The best part of the cruise-in is meeting many of the people that you talk to on the forum everyday.
You can see the schedule here.
You can register here.
You can discuss it here.
You can see pictures from Cruise-In II here.
Get yourself signed up if you haven't already! :D

Locked and Loaded. Looking forward to seeing all you there, old friends and new friends.
Now that not-so-"little" ZZ has his permit, he's offered to be my designated driver. He'll probably insist he drive me to and from the Baymont, even though we'll be next door at the Hampton.

I will be registering here shortly to enjoy more of the Vette "way of life." And I will be bringing my fiance, so this will be our first of many CI. I've always loved Vettes and my fiance has become just as big of a fanatic as me. So see you all there.

There is also a prime rib night for the early comers at the hands of the famous Corvette Chef, Roscoe, on Wednesday night.

Hey fella's, I wanna' come to this but I don't want to stay the entire time. Mostly I'd like to be at the drag racing event and the rib meal. How do I go about arranging that? Plus I wanna see your bad cars! :D

You have a few choices. If you want to attend any events at the museum then you will need to register with them. I heartilly recommend it since they are great events and the money all goes to support the museum. It's a great cause.
If you won't be there enough to make the expense worthwhile you could attend the events that aren't at the museum. You can pay as you go at the drags and the autocross. You can also pay as you go for Roscoe's BBQ.
You would miss a whole lot, but you need to decide what works best for you.

You need to get with Roscoe beforehand to ensure you have a place reserved. His e-mail address is roscoe@dotnet.com. The other events (racing, afterhours, etc.) can be paid for when you arrive. See you in KY!
