c5 z06 stuck in gear.

c5 z06 stuck in gear.
been having transmission issues the last year or so...
2nd gear synchro gone.
now a year later it progressed from intermittently stuck in 4th at the road course. then most recently it is permamently stuck in 3rd!
a fellow at the track was nice enough to tow me most of the way home.
i then limped in 3rd gear all the way home.
can't even pull it out.
i was told to try checking the shift linkage/alignment.
tried the turkey baster method on the clutch fluid reservoir.
i'm almost certain i need a new transmission and the problem is most likely a bad synchro and or bent shift fork since my z06 is an 03.
would it be possible for a clutch assembly to cause this?
it does disengage the clutch with the pedal down, but a couple people have told me it is a rare possibility the clutch is causing issues.
if that is the case i'd be much cheaper for me to swap out just the clutch.
if it is the tranny. should i have it rebuilt or swap in an RPM tranny?
are there any reputable rebuilders in the washington dc area?
i work at a shop and can swap a tranny out. no time or space to swap and rebuild myself though...
thanks.

If you cant shift it with the engine OFF,,,it's NOT the clutch. I agree. Crap *** cast Synchro Dog is broken and jammed in the slider. Contact RPM and get ya a beefed up tranny!

anyone know reputable corvette shops in the DC area?
considered swapping in an RPM tranny.
having someone do the whole job with clutch.
or possibly having someone rebuild mine while i swap.
OR having a shop do the whole rebuild/swap/etc.
any idea how much any of the above would run?
anyone have a level to recommend for the RPM's?
plan on stock 405 HP. but would like increased reliability for hpde and possibly time trials later on.
thanks.
