how to change trans fluid in C5 automatic torque converter?
I just speak&write english little bit.
I hope you guys understand this message.
I want to change ATF in my 2001 c5 A4(All stock 80,000miles).
I ordered AcDelco 24208574 for C5 AT filter kit and 12QT AMSOIL universal ATF.(be take 14~20days delivery to my country.)
Also,I found c5 ATF change general procedure on this forum.
It just need Approx 5qt ATF. But, I want to change whole ATF include Torque converter manually.
I could not find thread about "how to take out ATF from C5 torque converter.
Anybody know about step by step (take out ATF from torque converter manually)?

I do not want use "ATF exchange machine"
Because, I had a bad memory with "ATF exchange machine"
When I have a C4(1996 A4 was 100,000miles),My car AT is messed up in 2days after exchange ATF by using "ATF exchange machine".
I almost spent 2500 doller for 4L60E overhaul

I dont know why this was happen. mechanic says "time to overhaul"
I just guess, some wrong "ATF exchange machine" operation(wrong line pressure etc...) That is why I am not going to use "ATF exchange machine"

Unfortunately, the only way to completely change the fluid is to use the exchange machine.
The only other way to do it is to remove the transmission and disassemble it and remove the torque convertor and flush it with fresh fluid.
I just had the fluid exchange done on my 2000 Z71 pickup after doing the transmission service (transmission pan drain, filter change and 5 quart refill)
I also had the fluid exchange done years ago on another truck without issue for 20,000+ miles.
If the shop does the procedure correctly like mine did, it should be fine.

I remember years ago dropping pan, exchange filter, bolt pan back on and fill with trans fluid. (4 or 5 quarts.) then drive the car a few days and do it again. After the 3rd or 4th time you pretty much have all new fluid. Can be time consuming but by the last time you can do it blindfolded.
