intermittent misfire i think, help
on my 2000 vette i am having a very intermittent miss or something that sounds like a miss but it is not throwing any codes.
its more common on a colder night or when its wet but its not all the time.. i will be driving and it will be perfect then it starts poping and surging for a while sometimes it clears up after a few min then its fine agian other times longer. but it usually doesnt last more then 10 miles per say.. if im on the express way in 6th doing 70ish its fine.. but any other gear between 1600-4000rpm it pops and surges sometimes..
i changed the plugs, the wires and still does it. then i cleaned the k&n and seen my maf looked shady so i got another one and still does it. i really have no clue where to go from here.
on a nice warm day the car is fine, most of the time.. but at night when its cooler air it has issues.
anyone have this happen? any idea's on what to check?
thank you

Pull your codes and post them. Check for air-bridge leaks so any unmetered air isn't getting past the MAF. Check the PCV valve connection tube to the intake for holes in it. Just in case of a real misfire, check the ground wire(s) on the rear of the driver's side head and insure the bolt there is still tight.
