Silicone Hoses from CCA - C5 Corvette

Burning Brakes
Being at the end of posts may keep some from reading so I am bumping back to the top. I have yet to install my new red hoses as I am questioning the 180 degree working temp printed on the package. Is that the same or different form OEM?

On the manufacturers web site it states that they are 2x the average OEM Hose.
I'm going to give Nick a call Monday and get the technical explaination for you.
These are the same hoses that Pfadt Race Engineering had been selling for 13 years before they quite carrying them. We sold a few hundred in the last year and never had one issue.
Peace

The 180 degrees is a Celsius Measurement.
English STD equals 180c = 356f Degrees Fahrenheit

Chip, I began installing the hose set last week, and for the most part they look and work very well. The only difficulty I'm having is in getting the proper sized "clamps", as I decided to use the Thermoplastic Gates clamps. It's a little tricky, because these clamps have a limited amount of "shrink", therefore you have to be VERY careful in getting the appropriate size. I ordered what I thought I needed, but didn't measure carefully enough. I had to temporarily use a couple of the OE clamps, because I wanted to get the cooling system filled back up, while I ordered more clamps (I have no local supplier that stocks them).
Anyway, since I'm going with the silicone hoses, do you sell the silicone hose "couplers" that go between the air bridge and the throttle body? If so, how much are they?
Thanks!

You are right, the Gates Clamps are hard to work with. Don't feel bad, last time I used them I went through 2 sets to get it right...
Here is the link to the forum page for the couplers

Saves you $5 bucks
Take some pics when you are done, I don't have any good installed pics of the C5 hose kit
