Default ATF leak

Hi Guys,

Last decemver I had my C5 serviced and requested the mechanic to change the engine oil and ATF. He followed my instruction but after that the gearbox started leaking.

I have the car since 2007, I am the second owner. Car is driven once a month on a nice day. Car never had problems with the gearbox or was leaking before.

Pics below show current situation. How could this happen and what's your ideas on the solution?

i had the same problem. its the gasket that connects the main case to the rear extension housing. its quite common - faulty gasket design. i think the replacement gasket is a different design. the rear needs to be dropped to fix it. i took it to a professional, and he fixed it in a day and a half. it cost me $500, but he had no overhead. it may cost more at a shop.
