Zaino can be applied in the desert in the blazing sun on a black car, and it wont be an issue, Ive been using Zaino for 11 years, and I am very impressed..This is not your grandfather's Simonize. Anything Carnuba Based will break down at 110 degrees. Ive been detailing for 50 + years, Ive used a lot of different things, but Zaino is one thing that has impressed me.

I hate Black.. Somehow I have had three of the C5s in that color. We live in the country and it is a lost cause keeping them looking good.

What does living in the country have to do with it? I live in the country and have no problem taking care of my cars. I use Zaino. Lots of folks here with a black C5 use Zaino too.. and get this , some of them live in the country.

I think you retired too soon ET. You missed an opportunity to design the first self cleaning corvette.

Maybe he meant having to drive on gravel roads OR driving over fresh cow chips OR the smell in the air from a nearby horse farm OR those big round things in the road from horses-

Try the car care section. You might have better luck getting help.

1/4 mile gravel drive...I could sell the car and pave the drive, but that would not be much fun.

Not to mention there are tons of threads you can search there that ask the same question. Be prepared, there is no clear cut winner; everyone has their favorite.

What shape is the paint in? Minimal rocks chips etc? If so Zaino or any other high quality product will work.

If the finish is dinged up look at Turtle Wax Black Box.

I have use turtle wax's black box on some of my classic cars that are black,if you follow every step it is the best for black cars and will hide small defects. It works better than anything I have ever used.
