Default ~Radiator Help~

So changing all my hoses to Stainless I pulled a piece of the Radiator off..... I picked up a replacement and have everything back in to place but I do not see how the radiator is held in place... I have the rubber grommet/mount in but theres nothing else holding it up except the AC condenser. Is my car missing any thing? I went to the dealership and there are some cups or something that the radiator sits in?? I ordered them $15 should be here tomorrow but these were not on my car before. Im kinda lost any info please...Ive been searching but nothing as specific as i needed came up

The radiator is captive at the bottom, and held in place by the upper radiator support. Do you have a SC? Some SC setups do not use the upper radiator support.

Most likely, it's because the radiator support is lower, because of the SC installation......so yes, the upper radiator supports will not fit the top of the radiator, if you have not returned the height back to stock.

There are four bolts that secure the skid bar/radiator support to the frame. If it was lowered, there are longer bolts and spacers. You have to remove the spacers, and replace with factory bolts. This will raise it back up to factory height.

You have to get under the front end. The skid bar/lower radiator support, is what the front end scrapes when you are too close to a curb. Follow the tubing with your hand....you'll see it attaches at four points on the frame. That is where the spacers are installed...between the frame and the skid bar. Remove the bolts, remove the spacers, and install shorter bolts.

I made two attemps to explain. Time for you to crawl under your car, and have a look.

Good luck.

I understand what you mean, the car had A&A everything, so i was guessing they had the A&A radiator bolts with spacers that lower the radiator. But I dont see any spacers. Could they be on the back of the 4 bolts. ?

I do not understand the question. The spacers are pretty obvious.

Yes, no spacers there. Yet this thing still sits almost an inch lower then the upper radiator support. Any other ideas? I can email you some pictures if need be. Thank you again for all the info so far
