Default rear lower ball joints

I just swapped out the upper, lower control arms and spindle/knuckle on my '03 Z06. Everything came apart easily, but putting it back together has me perplexed. How does one get a torque wrench onto the nut for the lower ball joint - there is less than a half-inch between the ball joint nut and the CV joint at the wheel hub. It looks like I'll have to remove the new C6 shocks I also installed, just to be able to get more room to swing a wrench - there's no room, whatsoever, to get a socket between the ball joint nut and the CV joint.

On a side note, one that I'll probably start a new thread on, I was disappointed to find that the new GM shocks were not made in the US, like the originals that were on the '03 - they're made in Mexico
