With a good bright light you can find the hole and stab it in from the top. Ive done it a dozen times! Just make sure the hole area is clean and the O ring is good on the tube! Having the stick in the tube helps to locate the hole and guide it in!

do it from the top. I find if you pull the rubber trim piece from the battery compartment and get down low, you can see the hole. I just installed headers and had to remove and replace that damn thing a thousand times. once you find the hole it easy (that's what she said)

Imagine the audacity of the GM engineers putting the hole there. Everyone knows the dipstick tube is removed from the average vehicle owner's car frequently.....

Ive had mine out and back in 20+ times without issue or difficulity (with headers) ITs NOT that difficult!

Your correct, it is not hard to install AFTER I found the hole where it GOES !! I could not find the hole to insert the tube. I have it NOW, thanks to everyone for their HELP. Bill, why would you have pulled yours 20 + times ??

Between doing an initial header install HC up-grade, two drive-train removals, test fitting two sets of headers for a Header Manufacture, removing my headers for coating on my ZO6 and doing the same header test fits on my 06,, two header installs on two other C5s, and to numerous to count repairs on other C5s, it just becomes muscle memory!
