High oil and Coolant temps with LSX376 a D1 SC
I have 2003 c5 Z06. I have a LSX376 iron block motor from GM performance with a D1 procharger running 11psi.
My old set up was a ls6 with a P1(9 psi).
My coolant temps in 60 deg weather were around 176 and oil temps around 205, 220 WOT and would drop down to 205-210.
In 90 deg weather coolant temps would hit around 195 and oil temp as high as 225 max(not racing).
I have had the Dewitts Radiator in the car for over 3 years now. Fans set to come on at 176 and 160 T-Stat.
With the new LSX376 I saw the following temps.
60 deg weather, 190+ coolant temps.
230+ oil temps
In 90 deg weather.
225+ coolant temps(no wot, just driving normally)
250+ oil temps(no wot, just driving normally).
Does this seem really hot to anyone?
I will be using synthetic oil soon now that the break in period is over but do you think it will make that big of a difference?
The fans and everything seem fine.
Has anyone else experienced this and do I need to look into a oil cooler/radiator? If so which one do you recommend? Preferably one that will not drop the oil pressure too much.
Any input or help is greatly appreciated.
BTW I don't drive the car aggressively in the summer months here in Vegas at all. I only take it to the track when it is below 65 deg.

We offer Ron Davis Radiators.. one of the very best rad's on the market...
We can configure them how ever you want... I run one with the integrated oil cooler...
My operating temps stay at 180 no matter what ...
The rad is 20% more effective than a stock rad.. and with the integrated oil cooler you should be fine. We offer heat extractors as well but you should be fine w/ the integrated cooler.
