Default No Left or Right Turn Signals

Yesterday my left and right turn signals both stopped working. The DRL's and stop lamps are all working, and the 4-way flashers are also working.

Could the multifunction switch be the cause?

You Hazard switch is bad. I believe they are around $30 at GMPartsHouse.com.

The relay for the signals is built in the switch, however you 4 ways will continue to work.

There's a write up floating around that shows how to swap the switch without removing the dash cover.

Thanks CamminC5, I need to fix this ASAP.

I get a decent discount on parts from a Chevy dealer in MA, just north of where I live.
Let's hope they have the switch in stock.

The Hazard Warning switch had to be ordered, and I won't have it 'till next Tuesday.

I "exercised" my Hazard switch on and off several times, and now the turn signals are working again........hope this lasts through the long weekend.

Thanks again.

Mine was failing for like a year. I would just hit the switch 20-30 times and it would work for a few weeks, then i'd do it again. Its annoying, but it should get you by until you can install the new part.

I recently purchased a C5 and started having issues with my flashers intermittently working. After doing research here on the forums, I opted to buy a flasher fix relay at www.corvette-enhancements.com You can buy the relay fix through a couple online retailers. The stock switch will eventually go out again due to the design. The flasher fix was a simple install which took me all of 10 minutes to do. It's been working great since.

$70 for a relay and a pig tail harness is rather high...

Just push the Hazard switch in and out about 40 times. Worked for me two years ago and still going strong. The contacts get dirty.

Turn signals are still working, after exercising the Hazard switch a few days ago.

We'll see how long it lasts.

These complaints seem to flare up during the summer months when everyone is using their A/C. Being that the switch is located next to a duct, my guess is it's a condensation issue.

I did this like 7 years ago and it is still working the same today.
I just never pressed the hazard button ever again.

Thanks Bill, that sounds encouraging.

Since I already paid for the hazard switch when the dealer ordered it last week, I'll pick it up today just to have one if I ever need it.

I just installed mine and it works great! But it took me about an hour---35 minutes fighting those clips for the screws on the knee-bolster!
