1999 c5 factory radio wire diagram
looking to run some amps to my factory radio. Does anybody know what wires to hook up front speaker to rca inputs on amp.? I tried the woofer ones and the tweeter ones and they both sound like crap! I remember someone had posted them years ago but never saved and cant find anywhere.

I wouldn't mind the wiring diagram/key for the head unit. I'm getting ready to do a head unit swap and would like to use a couple of the factory wires to tie in (e.g. remote power/turn on).

I tried everything to add amps to my factory Bose system--It NEVER worked correctly
Main reason---The Bose system utilizes on speaker amps for the front door speakers---The rears use a separate amp under the dash behind the A/C controls--- There is just no way to get a great sounding stereo with Bose-- Its just too complicated and does NOT covert well-I ended up buying an Indash Sony head unit--Fits nice and clean--factory looking---Then I installed a 4 channel amp in the rear cargo area--You have to replace the front door speakers with coventional speakers-- I used 6 1/2 inch speakers and had to fabricate some aluminum plates to secure them to the door panels but it was easy--You can use smaller ones like 5's or 5 1/2's --they fit easier-- I also changed the rears to something better--Speakers are cheap back there and they are a direct fit---
Then--I added a cutom fit C5 subwofer box and a single 10" wofer for the bass---They also come in 12"
Cost is not as bad as you think as the Old bose stuf is easily sold and sought after
I spent:
$ 150 sony xpod head unit
150 sub-wofer enclosure
100 JL audio 10" wofer
60 rear sony explod speakers
80 front sony explod speakers
45 wiring kit
25 dash adapter
TOTAL COST $ 610
HOWEVER I sold all the Bose stuff on E-bay for:
$ 175 Bose CD player
150 font Bose door speaker/amps
25 rear stock speakers
50 front spkr amp
TOTAL RECOVERED $400
That leaves the total cost only $210 !!!!!!
I did all the installation myself
The Sony Expod is a mid range quality system--Not cheap by any means but not high end--- It really sounds great and POUNDS !! shakes the mirrors if you want to--and No rattles !!!

My rears sound great
I put a 10 inch sub in the rear center hole sound ok for the none sealed box. Used mbquart brand. my friend owns the company also used there 6 channel amp and mounted it on the rear wall. Just would like to get the fronts to sound better or louder with more highs. I still have the old bose junk.I did not think anybody would buy the JUNK? Bose bunch of **** lol
