I loaded some cds into the magazine, pushed it into the changer, closed the door....and it does nothing. Usually you can hear it load the cds into the changer. I tried to play a cd and nothing happens.

I proceeded to take the magazine out changer and it doesn't eject. What
could be the problem? Fuse? Cd not loaded correctly?

Any help much appreciated.

Sounds like you probably put it in backwards. Did you have to force it in? Try gently removing it manually. Pay attention to the arrow on the cassette.

No, didn't have to force it in. It went in like normal, just won't come out. I tried
to manually force out with no luck. Thanks man.

Disks upside down perhaps? I think I fought that one once.

I had mine repaired three times for that PITA. They said it was a three hundred dollar repair if not under warranty. I had to send it with all the CD's in it. :eek:

Thanks for your comments guys. Instead of sending the changer in for repair
is possible to purchase an aftermarket cd changer that will work with the head
unit?

I bet the reason the mag won't eject is that your changer door is broken. There is a SMALL plastic tab on the door that depresses a switch when the door (fully) opens. Break this tab and the mag will never come out.

You can take the face plate off the changer and you will see the tab as well as the switch. Glue a small piece of something in where the tab belongs ( or simply re-glue the tab back in place) and cover with a small piece of duct tape. I've repaired like this before and it holds up great. Much cheaper than a $250 front door repair.

Hey guys, I'm happy now. It's fixed. I got a bit frustrated and took the cd
changer apart and by accident I hit a little white switch mechanism that released the magazine. I put the changer back together and everything
works great.

Disconnect the battery cable (negative) for a few minutes and try again.

My 12 Disc is stuck as well. You all have said that the face panel pops off. It felt really tight I guess it just has some strong clips to over come. Any Suggestions on a certain spot to start?
