PCV Oil Catch Can from CCA

I got one of your red catch cans for Christmas and as soon as the car is back from the shop I plan to install it.... however my can is the one with the breather on top, one hose attachment and the drain on the bottom. I looked for specific installation docs for this one and couldn't find one, is it basically the same just no return hose?

Block off the return nipple on your manifold

Thanks! And I read on another one of your posts that if I don't want oil to mist throughout the engine bay to take off the filter on top and hook it up normal and then when running hard to hook it up the correct way for a boosted vehicle correct?

I just finished installing mine and I had a couple of questions before I start it up.
When I removed the "U" hose, there was what appeared to be a check valve with it. Does this need to be installed with the catch can? See attached photo.
Finally, please take a look at my setup and tell me if it seems correct. I need to go grab some clamps but other than that I believe it is correct.
Thanks,

The hoses are correct.
Simply splice the check valve in the line that goes to the top
of the can

Also, I'd like to know how in the future I'm supposed to take the can apart to change the filter. I tried twisting the top and bottom off with absolutely no success -- it's on there extraordinarily tight. I started trying to use a tool but it started destroying the finish so I'm kind of stumped as to how to get inside it without seriously tearing it up.
Thanks!

It does not matter which line it is on - just easier to put it in the line
going to the top.
The can has O rings so the top only needs to be hand tight.
You can use a rubber grip can opener to open the can if you
have it to tight.
