Very cool! Excellent results and the true gains are felt through the entire power band!
Thanks ! Yea it for sure feels stronger now. It was a fun install, and I learned something new. Still looks stock-ish under the hood too which is what I was hoping for.
What is the reason for running the vent line from the valve cover to the coupler?
My understanding is that the valve cover needs to have a place to vent if it becomes over pressure. The stock setup has a tube running to the LS1/LS6 Throttle body. The LS2 Throttle bodies do not have the plug in for the exhaust line. The LS2 cars have a line going to the coupler in front of the throttle body. I needed to connect the exhaust hose to a place that the valve cover could vent. Some people cap off the valve cover exhaust line, and install a small filter on the oil cap cover. Not sure if its legal though, and heard the engine bay will get a little "oily" over time.
See this picture below. It shows the stock exhaust line and what I was planning to do with the new line.
Thanx. So I'm guessing I can go either route. Small filter. (Which would go where? On tube coming out of valve cover or in place of oil filler cap and cap of vent line in valve cover) or the line to the coupler.

I have seen some attach a air filter to there oil filler cap, and plug/cap the line in the valve cover. Some run a line from the valve cover to a small air filter that loosely fits under the red valve covers.
If I were you, I would talk to some people that have done this filter idea. I don't want to give you any bad advice because I went a different route. I don't want to make it seem that I know a lot about the filter idea.
I loved your article. I hope you don't mind but I printed all thisrty pages of your post for my tech scrap book. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with our forum.

Not sure if you still need this info, but this is how I vented mine. Mine actually pulls air into the valve cover.
I'm about to undergo this, just to verify. You can reuse the stock manifold to head bolts?
Yea that's what I did. I found that the stock bolts were slightly longer and went into the head just a little more. And I also verified that the holes in the head allowed for the length of the stock bolts poking out the bottom of the new Fast manifold.
I will be installing a released black FAST and LS2 TB in a few weeks and was wondering if you used your old air coupler or needed a larger one to accommodate the move from the 78mm LS6 to the 90mm LS2 TB. Great write up! I will definitely be referring to it.
