NEW PRODUCT - SLP 1.85 rockers
The SLP 1.8 rockers are now available and can be ordered in four configurations -
SLP Rocker Arm Package, LS1/LS6 rockers only
SLP Rocker Arm Package, LS1/LS6 rockers with LS6 Springs, Keepers
SLP Rocker Arm Package, LS1/LS6 rockers with SLP Springs, Chrome Moly Retainers, Keepers
SLP Rocker Arm Package, LS1/LS6 rockers with SLP Springs, Titanium Retainers, Keepers
SLP's exclusive design is based on the stock rocker and is built by the OEM manufacturer using the same high quality materials and processes. Versus the stock 1.7:1 ratio rocker, SLP's 1.85:1 ratio rocker will result in horsepower and torque gains by increasing lift by approximately 10% and forcing the valves to accelerate faster during opening and closing. SLP's rocker was designed as a bolt-on replacement for stock. No valve cover or cylinder head modifications are necessary and stock pushrods can be re-used. Depending on model application, optional SLP valve springs may be required.
Pricing for each kit is listed on our website and you can apply our current 10% discount to the pricing.
Have a good day,
Tom

Re: NEW PRODUCT - SLP 1.85 rockers (3rdtoy)
You should see about 10-15hp from this mod and they will work well with the LS6 heads.

The rockers aren't bad but changing the springs becomes a little more work. A little more room and easier than doing them on an LT1 car though :)

Re: NEW PRODUCT - SLP 1.85 rockers (tbyrne)
I replaced my rockers with the 1.8 Crane Units. I did pickup some HP off of them too. I also picked up Valve Float above 5600 RPM. As a result I had to have the valve springs upgraded. You can see the diff between the before and after dyno sheet.
Given these new SLP units are 1.85's I can almost bet money on it that you will need a spring upgrade with the install on an LS1 engine.

When the rockers were installed... I also had the TPIS Long tubes, & LS6 intake installed. I dont have a dyno for the rockers only. :(

Re: NEW PRODUCT - SLP 1.85 rockers (tbyrne)
I am very interested in these new rocker arms, and would like to know if I would need to change to a new spring - from the stock Yellow 2002 LS6 (Z06) Springs ...
Please let me know,
BP

Re: NEW PRODUCT - SLP 1.85 rockers (bparker)
Why the compatability with the 2001 LS6 Z06 but not the 2002 LS6 Z06?
Is it because of the higher lift cam?
Also I noticed that these, like the stock lifters have the small / narrow end that contacts the valve, is there any benefit to the style that are much wider / stout at the roller portion (or will this type require other modifications)?
Thanks for helping a valvetrain challenged individual
Thanks
