Default P0500 VSS after dropping rear end

Hey guys my speedometer stopped working after I dropped the rear end last night to install a new clutch. I first tried to push the rear end back to get the torque tube off the bell housing but ended up having to drop the whole rear sub-frame. In the process of trying to push the rear end back i think the speed sensor was hitting the undercarriage of the car.. Is there any way i can test the sensor to see maybe if i snagged a wire?
