Default AC UltraGuard Oil Filter

Is the part number for the LS1 UPF44 or UPF46? I am a bit confused, because PF46 is the regular oil filter part number, yet a see some people reference UPF44.

Also where can they be purchased? AC oil filters are very scarce in my area.

44 = short version
46 = taller version

Either fits and works

On mine the 46 stuck out below the oil pan. That's not something I'm comfortable with.

I got one of those "Mobil1 oil change specials" at one of the auto parts chain stores. It was several quarts of oil and a Mobil1 filter. The Mobil1 filter must be the same size as the 46, because it also hung down about 3/8" below the oil pan. I used it last summer, but more or less kept a careful eye out for speed bumps, etc...

Does the UPF46 exist anymore? When I punch it up on the AC Delco site, it doesn't show, but UPF44 does.
