Default Estimating performance results 383

It's been done tons of times. But I made 424rwhp on my Stock bottom end Ls1 with PNP 243 Heads, Cam 231 239 608 612 113 ls6 intake long tubes and exhaust and a good tune.

I will be posting a full install/build up thread after it is in the car and running.

Now I am installing my HKE built 383 for a 200 shot but no N20 untill next year

HKE 383 Stroker Callies crank, rods, weisco pistons
Cam 231 239 608 612 113
243 Ported and Polished Heads milled to 59cc
Ls6 intake
Headers 1 3/4
With all supporting mods left injectors and so forth.

I am shooting for 475+ I have seen over 500rwhp on cars with Biggers heads(530ish) on the forums. I would love 500 rwhp but the N20 will make the difference. I would GUESS that the 383 itself would give me more than 50rwhp from the stock LS1 but I am a novice and no where near an expert.

Just looking for some random bench chair opinions from everyone.

Thanks

I recently finished my install of my 383 and I am in the beginning phase of my Breslin miles. Currently I'm expecting 500 ish give or take. As I have 243 heads which restrict even though they are pnp.

Usually, stroking a motor will make more torque but not much more horsepower with the same topend installed. And it will do so at a lower rpm. That being said, I think you will be close to your goal.

I think at this point you'd see noticeable gains from a 90mm intake manifold. You could go the FAST route or Send your LS6 to TPIS for the 90mm conversion.

Going from 10.1-1 comp to 11.75-1 comp will make a noticeable difference in hp. Yes I could upgrade my intake and heads as I would love to do this, they didn't blow up. I spun the #7 rod bearing so the block got upgraded. Money has to be spent on places that are the problem.

I wasn't trying to be argumentative, just stating facts. I have ran many engines on the water brake and am talking from experience. And, compression usually bumps torque. Horsepower comes from raising peak torque rpm. I still think you will make 475 and your torque will be awesome.

Yup. Power is all in the heads. And 243s suck. Do it right the first time and get TFS heads.
