I was there yesterday. I didn't see any National Vendors there like LPE. I didn't have one decent run. My best 60 foot was a 2.2 and my best mph through the traps was a 107.8. I don't think that track is very impressive. I know my driving wasn't :(

Snowman was making a lot of power but wasn't hooking up . I think he had the fastest car but I know he didn't get into the elevens and I also know of an 01 Z06 with Skinnys and slicks with a best e.t. of 11.9 that only ran a 12.6 so I don't feel to bad. I went there to work on my 60 foots times mostly

My clutch is starting to go...:(

Thanks for the info Dave! Sounds like the track wasn't prepared, I was hoping to hear of some low nines and maybe some 8 second runs from ARE or LPE. There were some 9 second runs at the Birthday Bash a few weeks ago, if I remember correctly.

I think the fastest time of the day that I saw was Neverenuf with his MTI 7.0l at 11.05 all motor...

What were your 1/4 times. I ran twice at 13.1 @ 110, with 2.2 60's and a .83 reaction?

Track was pretty good in the morning, but it only lasted about an hour.

There was a fairly strong head wind all day.

My best was a 12.297 at 114.51 with a 1.891 60 ft., but most were in the 12.50 to 12.60 range.

Everyone was off by 3/10's to 6/10's.

Still it was a great day!

My best on my street tires was a 12.40 @ 119.8mph with a 2.20 60'. My best with the new motor was up here a few weeks ago, a 11.64 @ 122.0mph with a 1.907 60'.

I never do any good at Beech Bend. I don't think my Canadian car likes the humidity or high temps! :D

I ran two 12.1s in the high 117 range when the track first opened. Last run of the day was a 12.6. Snowman was not running well at all. I ran him once, he had me by 2 lengths at the 1/8 and I pulled him by .03 at the end.

Yeah, I agree with Jerry - Snowman "Big Guy" ... was all show, no go ... Oh well ... maybe next year. I ran my typical high 12's ... mostly all 9's, high 9's .. due to the crappy conditions, suck track and stock car I got :D

My best run was 11.05 , all motor, with a 1.619 60' , thanks to some good advice from ChrisNJC5...

5000 rpm launch, 12psi in drag slicks, front skinnies, hal shocks set to zero in front, max in rear, 110 octane fuel, extra timing via ls1edit, 6800 rpm shifts..

Not sure if there were any faster.. track was "okay", but certainly not great. Biggest issue was me -- still learning about how to launch the M6 and drag slicks..

The drag racing was fun, no helmets, passengers allowed, tops down  I was off by about 3/10's, best of the day was 13.05 @ 110.51mph. My mph was consistant all day, mid-110mph, but the 60' times sucked, 2.17-2.3. I did get in 12 runs, and that was with taking some extended breaks. All in all it was a fun day :)

[Just visiting] I've only run the full 1/4 at Beech Bend. All we have around here are 1/8th mile tracks. I got a new best ET, in sig. I was able to pull a couple 2.08 60 foot times though. Most people couldnt get traction.

I've never run the 1/4 before. This was my first time:
13.020 at 117.2
My times seem to suck. Don't know how gm says zo6 stock will do 12.6 and my C5 will only do 13 on the bottle. hmm am I that bad of a driver?

I was there with a bone-stock mag-red 99 vert 6-speed. I ran a best of 13.48 @ 106.86 mph... trying to launch on emt's was hard, as a result my best 60-foot was 2.26. I was very impressed with the car seeing as it's my mom's nice-weather driver and had never been to the track. With an intake, some real tires, and a decent track (60-foot) this thing can run 12's =).

JMon,
Not bad for your first time. There were several Z06s that did not break into the 12s. Your MPH was good, that's the best indication of horsepower. What were your 60 foot times?
