RWHP (base C5s) Coupe vs Z06
Haven't found what I was looking for , so, dealing with C5's, what would the "base" RWHP/RWTQ, be for a Z06, vs a Coupe. Thanks....

It depends on the coupe's.
Auto with 315 rear end - Around 310 rwhp stock
Auto with 273 rear end - Around 290 rwhp stock
6 Speeds with 342 rear end - Around 310 rwhp stock
Z06's
2001 Z06 (385HP) - Around 335 rwhp
2002-2004 Z06's (405HP) - Around 350-360 rwhp
My Experience
My 2004 Z06 dyno'd 358rwhp on a Dyno Jet bone stock.

From what ive seen, most 02-04's dyno 340-360. My 01ZO6 dynoed low. It was a mobil dyno and coulda been stingy but she only laid out 320/318 stock....after LG LT's n tune, i sat nice n pretty at 362/360. After first cam install 412/380...New cam and new numbers coming soon....

Thanks guys, Toque, I didn't think of throwing in differentials/tranny, good info...
Didn't the 04-Z06 come with the "better/larger" cam than previous years?

2001 Model ............385 HP
2002-2004 Model.....405 HP
There was a cam change (and other changes) in the 2002 model LS6 which helped give the higher HP.

Dang, that's the lowest estimates I've ever heard for these cars! Im Guessing my 99 A4 was in that area stock... But it must have been a decent car from the factory and been closer to 300 mark, because I dont believe my intake and exhaust work and a dyno tune would increase me by 45whp. I pulled 225whp/225wtq on a dynojet.

This has been my experience at the many dyno days I've been to over the past 15 years.
FWIW, 04z dyno'd 362rwhp bone stock engine with Corsa catback

I don't know if my LS1 is on the stronger side, but mine put down 310 RWHP when it was bone stock. I do have an '03 MN6 though, & in 2001 the LS1 gained +5 HP & +25 LBFT on the 6 speed cars. I think the +5 HP is conservative though to be honest. My previous '02 Z06 put down 354 RWHP bone stock on the same dyno a few years back. I hope this helps.

I almost forgot... These numbers are from a Dynojet just to let you know. I know the Mustang Dyno reads a bit lower than the dynojet & every dyno is different.

Let's face it. There is NO set number for rwhp. It is a range
of numbers. There many variables and as long as Brag Rights
are not counted --you can get a pretty good picture. Most of
us overestimate rwhp and that goes for the tuner who is
trying to please a customer. Being alittle conservative is
a good thing.
