Oil Sending Unit Leak Question
I did a search for this but didn't really find what I was looking for. I'm sure it's in this forum somewhere. I have a leak coming from the oil sending unit but it still works fine. I 95% sure that is where my leak is coming from but it just seems odd that the sensor still works yet is leaking. Thanks!

Just replaced one that leaked....it was running down and dripping a bit every few days....it worked just fine otherwise. If you get a flashlight and remove the fuel rail covers you can look back there and see the sensor and any oil.
As long as it works and you don't mind the smell or cleaning up the drips......

on a side note you also have some hoses back there (PCV system) that are hard plastic with a foam type connector....they go bad (dry rot) and will also leak so that may be a source as well

Thank you pewter99, yeah it'll leak every so often like yours did. I've replaced it before so it looks like I'll probably just get back there this weekend and knock it out. I'll also check those hoses back there, I had not thought of that. I appreciate the help!
