Default Intake Manifold Bottom crack HOW TO FIX???

How wrong can man go???

After battery change and short circuit I posted to forum and asked help because of MAF, bnad battery and bad idle.

Time has passed and I changed MAF and TPS sensors hoping that it would help. Same symptom remains. When starting engine won't start but only gives a "promoise of 2 seconds".

Now I got new MAP sensor and that's why I took off intake manifold.
To my big surprice I found that the bottom part plastic part is broken.

I am not familiar with LS1 and I need help and advice how to fix the damaged part.

This can be reason why engine won't run when MAF and TPScsensors are connected. Perhaps I finally found the reason

When MAF is disconnected engine idles but it is poor idle. therefore I suspect that this results leakage to intake, send MAF sensor failure to DIC and kills the idle.

Pictures are attached..

Does anyone know how to fix this???

You could try some high temp Plasti-Weld or search the "parts for sale" section for a used manifold. A used LS1 manifold isn't that expensive.

You should be able to find a LS1 intake for fairly cheap, I'm thinking $25 if you put up a wanted to buy post.

I'd say try JB Weld to fix it.

Just for curiousity could you post pictures of the damage?

sounds like you got some pretty big crack going on there! 10" long? 1.5" wide?
lots of cracked Fast manifolds out there, and guys seem to fix them up with types of epoxy and/or JB weld.... yours' sounds waaaaaay big though.... post some pics perhaps...... if it's not repairable, just pick up a used LS1 manifold from an '02 or newer.....
