NT05R's on stock coupe 5 spokes
Hello all, need to replace my poor BFG KDW's now that the new driveline is in the car and obliterates them (RPM level V, 3.73s, Scoggin Dickey 427, Mast Heads, etc.). Anyone stuck the 305/45 NT05R on the stock 18x9.5" wide 5 spoke in the back? Nitto's site says it's the smallest wheel they would stick it on and i dont really care about them overhanging a little. Just curious.

You are not going to fix your traction problem by going that route. The widest recommended tire for a 9.5" wide rim is 285/35. Maybe 295, but the larger you go the more the tire will bow across the tread surface. You will need to go with wider rims.
If you put 305's on it will wear the center out fast and the traction increase will come from the tire compound, not the width. Wast of money if you ask me.

Never mind, you said 45 for the aspect ratio, you should be good...
If the car is lowered you may have to raise if for the higher sidewall, but you should be good. And remember that the relation of spinning between the front and rear needs to be maintained to avoid problems.

Not worried about TC, it's disabled. Dont mind pushing the rear up a little either if need be. The site says a 9.5" wide rim is about the minimum they would use so i was curious if anyone had actually done it.
