Cool read.

Question.
Was the PCM better after 02? Or, what year did they get better?
I have a 2000, can it be upgraded?

Yes you can write a 2002 OS on your PCM, and get rid of the secondary VE table. And that's positive, IF you for instance tune by your self. The PCM gets much faster after 2005, but that's not going to help us C5 guys..

Ah, good info! Thanks.
I'll look into how to to that with HPT.
And, yes, I am tuning myself.......with help of course.

Also good to know that we can't use the faster PCM's. too bad. i have viewed data logs from a 2008 C6 at the drags. Man, a lot of resolution in that data for sure!

I just found out a month ago that I was logging too many PIDs and killing the resolution on the data I was taking. Slow learning process on all this!

You can upgrade to a later model PCM than the 98 you're running. It's a complete repin. Very tedious and time consuming. The later models are faster and have more fine tuning capabilities. Ed Hutchings did mine but to be honest, with your mods, it's not worth it.
