Default Should I get a K&N air filter

Should I go ahead and get me a K&N air filter for my 01 LS1. And if so are there any adjustements I need to make or does the car adjust automatically to any changes in air flow??
Thanks.....

NO, for the same $$ you could get many paper filters. Had them in a couple of vehicles (I only ever bought one), waste of time/money.

nah, search these forums. you'll want a blackwing, vararam, or halltech. dont waste the $$ on k&n. it's better than factory, but not enough to justify buying it when you can pay a little more and find the above 3 for almost the same price.
