Default New 418 question??? HELP.

I've got a "new" 418. But the built was done in late 2008 early 2009. My question is should I replace the rod and mail bearings, since it's been clamped down since. I'm concerned with the bearings being flat spotted.

Bearings won't flat spot. You should be fine. I would highly recommend that you change the oil before you turn it over and make sure to turn the engine over with the coils disconnected to make sure that oil is circulated through the engine before you start it up.

Good luck!

I have Joe Gibbs break in oil and I will certainly lube everything very well. I've just gotten mixed feedback from different people, just trying to make the right choice see as now would be the time to do so. Thanks for your help
