Default Gm tech 2 school 101 "paths"

Hello C5 Brothers and Sisters

I have a TECH2 and I sort of intimated with it. It does SO MANY THINGS that unless you are properly trained to use it, It is a ROYAL PAIN IN THE **** to figure out what "PATH" to take to get to the end result that you need to do.

So, I did some digging in GOOGLE and found the HOLY GRAIL of PATHS!

http://service.gm.com/userguides/english/t2paths-en.pdf

The PDF document allows you to quickly fine the procedure alphabetically by clicking on the letters at the top of the page A, B, C, D, ......

Im going to try to do a CRANK SENSOR RELEARN tonight using this document and see if i get to the correct screen:

Crankshaft Pos. Variation Learn – Engine > Engine Electrical > Module Setup > Powertrain Control Module

Here is the entire document copied and pasted: If you print it out,, it ends up being 154 pages..

Hope this helps someone..

Bill

2005 Tech 2 Pathing 1
Tech 2 Pathing
Most of the practical Tech 2 pathing is listed on the following pages for your reference. Paths are arranged alphabetically beginning with the end
result—the final “string” displayed on the Tech 2 screen.
Depending on the vehicle, each path originates with one of 12 selections: Powertrain, Chassis, Body, Vehicle Control Systems, HVAC, Steering,
Suspension, Brakes, Engine, Transmission/Transaxle, Body and Accessories, and Restraints.
Search for a specific string by clicking one of the letters above to take you closer to the end string you seek, or by clicking on the Adobe Reader
binocular “Find” icon (usually located on the toolbar near the top of your screen) and keying in the exact phrase.

Got home way too late to attempt this procedure and its suppose to snow tonight. 6" of wet stuff!!!

This weekend may be better to try.

I removed a WHOLE BUNCH of the paths so it didnt take 5 min to page thru them all to get to the other post!

Just open the link for the entire list!

Just an UP-DATE.... I did the procedure. Some say it isnt necessary. Didnt see anything significant change. The car is running fine..

There isnt a message that says it was completed or not so,, cant say if it worked or not.
