Default Question about DIC 1287 and SWPS

In the last month I've had the TC/AH activate several while driving down the road in a straight line and applying light brake but no code set. Tonight I finally had a Service message on the DIC, code was set and the TC/AH disabled automagically.

After searching the forum for code 1287 and finding a probable faulty SWPS my question is in the threads I found, not only was code 1287 set but also 1288. In my situation the 1288 wasn't set, only 1287.

Anyone run into this situation? I look forward to swapping out the sensor.

Thanks

There are 2 circuits for the SWPS. One of them sets the 1287 the other sets the 1288. If you get one of these it is time to replace the SWPS.

I had the same symptoms you had along with cruise control disengaging, I only got one brief setting of 1287. No other codes set. Changed the SWPS and no more issues.
